HMR - Design & Manufcaturing Facility:

MHR operates a fully integrated design and manufacturing facility dedicated to producing high‐quality transformers for industrial, utility, and renewable‐energy applications. Our engineering team develops custom solutions using advanced design tools, precision manufacturing processes, and strict quality‐control systems. 


The facility is equipped for complete in‐house fabrication, assembly, and testing, ensuring every transformer meets CSA, UL, and other international standards. Transformer Testing & Quality Assurance

 

Every MHR Power transformer undergoes a comprehensive series of Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) to ensure safety, reliability, and long‑term performance. Our testing program follows CSA, IEEE, and international standards, verifying that each unit meets the highest engineering and operational requirements.


Some of the Key Tests Performed During Manufacturing includes and limited to:

  • Impulse Test (up to 250 kV)   Validates the transformer’s ability to withstand lightning surges and switching transients.
  • Partial Discharge Test   Conducted in accordance with CSA & IEEE standards to ensure insulation integrity and long‑term dielectric performance.
  • Temperature Rise Test   Confirms thermal stability under full‑load conditions and verifies that the transformer can operate safely within its designed temperature limits.
  • Applied Voltage Test – Ensures insulation strength between windings and ground.
  • Induced Voltage Test – Verifies turn‑to‑turn insulation and withstand capability.
  • Winding Resistance Measurement – Confirms proper conductor sizing and connection integrity.
  • Ratio & Polarity Tests – Ensures correct voltage transformation and phase alignment.
  • No‑Load & Load Loss Measurements – Validates efficiency and core performance.
  • Insulation Resistance (Megger) Test – Confirms insulation health and moisture resistance.
